You can freely access the master’s degree in Digital Automation Engineering, since it does not have a limited number. However, your bachelor’s grade must be at least 80/110. Concerning prerequisite, basic automation engineering knowledge is required, together with the classical subjects of engineering (mathematics, physics, computer science). If your curriculum of studies is not perfectly consistent with the degree’s prerequisites, you will be assigned additional courses to acquire the missing knowledge.

Entry requirements are illustrated in the calls for admission for the current academic year:

  • Call for admission for EU students and international student residing in Italy is available in English and in Italian
  • Call for admission for extra EU students living abroad and applying for a visa is available in English

English B2 Certification

As specified in the call for application, the programme is completely taught in English. Entry Requirements include knowledge of the English language is at least B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.

Certifications

Acceptable language levels can be certified as follows:

  • Language certificates as shown in the Table of equivalent language certification (November 2017);
  • University exams in English with contents equivalent to B2, documented by a statement of the certifying university;
  • Origin from an English mother tongue country. Foreign native English speakers are considered to be any foreign or Italian citizens who by family ties or linguistic experience have the ability to naturally express themselves in their native language;

Certifications provided by CLA

Candidates interested in DAE enrollment not in possess of an English certification can take an English computerized exam provided for free by Unimore CLA – Centro Linguistico di Ateneo. Passing the exam with a positive result is accepted as a valid certification for applying to the master’s degree programme in Digital Automation Engineering.
