Mini-Course – “Optimization Methods with Python”

In October, the Digital Automation Engineering students had the opportunity of attending a mini-course taught by Thiago Alves de Queiroz, a distinguished professor of Operations Research and Prorector for Research at the esteemed Federal University of Catalão in Brazil. During the course, Professor Queiroz introduced the students to the basics of optimization methods and how they can be implemented using the programming language Python. The course was well-received by the students, who found it a useful addition to their engineering curriculum. They appreciated the practical approach to the subject and the relevance of optimization methods in their field of study.
